#1 Kenyon Holding (1873- 1927) was the son of Richard Holding and Ann Bell. He was born in Accrington, Lancashire. Kenyon Holding married Sarah Annie Birkett on 21st March 1892, at St Mary's (aka The Priory), Lancaster.

Kenyon Holding and Sarah Annie Birkett had 10 children;
*Edith Holding (1892- 1969) was born 24th May 1892, Skerton, Lancaster, Lancashire, and baptised 26th June 1892 at St Luke's Skerton, Lancaster, Lancashire. She married Edward Caton in October 1915, and they had two children. She died on the 14th May 1969, in Lancaster, Lancashire.
*Richard Holding (1894- 1917) was born 14th June 1894, in Lancaster, Lancashire, and was baptised at St Mary's, Lancaster on 12th August 1894. He was a window cleaner in 1911. When he joined the army in 1915 he was a window cleaner, but was also pianist and conductor of the Hippodrome orchestra. He joined the army (Kings Own) and was killed in action on 30th November 1917. His body was never found and he is commemorated at the Cambrai Memorial, at Louverval, France.
*Frank Langdon Bell Holding (1896- 1915) was born on the 24th May 1896 in Lancaster, Lancashire, and was baptised on the 14th June 1896, at St Mary's Lancaster, Lancashire. He was an office boy in an oil cloth store in 1911. He was a window cleaner in 1914 when he joined the army (Kings Own). He was killed in action on 17th April 1915, in Flanders. His body was never found and he is commemorated at the Ypres Memorial, in Belgium. Both Richard and Frank Holding served in the same company within the Kings Own regiment.
*Lily Holding (1898- 1971) was born on 9th May 1898 in Lancaster, Lancashire, and was baptised at St Mary's, Lancaster, Lancashire on the 19th June 1898. In April 1923 she married Arthur Gardner who was a copper plate hand engraver (1939 Register). They had one son. She eventually moved to Goring, near Reading, and died on 30th May 1971.
*Lena Holding (1900- 1988) was born on 3rd December 1900, in Lancaster, Lancashire. In April 1928 she married John Beaty who was a certified accountant (1939 Register). They had 4 children. She died on 27th July 1988.
*Joseph Bell Holding (1903- 1974) was born in 1903, in Lancaster, Lancashire. In 1921 he was in Athlone, at Victoria Barracks and a soldier in the Royal Engineer Service Corps Mechanical Transport. He married Edith Charlton on 23rd December 1935 (double wedding with Edith's sister, Kathleen, and his best friend and fellow soldier, Arthur Moseley). He also played the trumpet, and after demob he played for the orchestra at the Morecambe Winter Gardens, and was the publican at The Sun Inn. He had 2 children with her. On the death of both Arthur and Kathleen Moseley, he and Edith adopted their daughter. Joseph died in June 1974, in Lancaster, Lancashire.
*John Holding (1904- 1978) was born on 6th October 1904, in Lancaster, Lancashire. He was a window cleaner (1921 Census). He married May Harrison in April 1923. They had 4 children. He died on the 9th December 1978. His probate is dated 12th January, 1979.
*Olive Holding (1907- 1978) was born on 7th April 1907, in Lancaster, Lancashire. In July 1929 she married John Roberts. They had two children. She died on the 26th April 1978.
*Kenyon Holding (1909- 1983) was born 5th December 1909, in Lancaster, Lancashire. In 1939 (electoral register) Kenyon was living at 90 Greaves Street, Lancaster. He later moved to Goring Heath, near Reading after the death of his partner Walter Newby, and died on 1st February, 1983.
*Doris Holding (1914- 2007) known as Tia, was born on 4th February 1914, in Lancaster, Lancashire. She married Peter Blundell (a farmer) in April 1934, in Lancaster. They had 1 child together. They divorced, and she went on to marry John Geller, in April 1947, in Lancaster. They had 2 children together. Doris (Tia) lived in Goring Heath, near Reading, but later moved to Nottingham after John's death, and died there on 18th July 2007.
Kenyon Holding, publican of the White Cross Hotel, Lancaster, died on 19th December 1927, at the Royal Infirmary, Lancaster, Lancashire. His probate was settled 30th January, 1928, in Lancaster, to Sarah Annie Holding (nee Birkett).
#2 Richard Holding (1841- 1913) was the son of Robert Holden and Isabella Bold. He was born in Accrington, Lancashire. Richard Holding married Ann Bell in July 1861, in Haslingden, Lancashire.

Isabella Holding (1865- 1930) married Alfred Hodgson on the 19th February 1887, at St Mary, Lancaster, Lancashire. They had no children.
Susannah Holding (1867- 1934) married Joseph Beech in October 1899, in Lancaster, Lancashire. They had no children.

Ada Holding (1877- 1940) married Matthew Waterhouse in 1900, at St Mary's, Lancaster, Lancashire.The had 5 children; Thomas Holding Waterhouse (born 1910), Olive Waterhouse (born 1912), Ada Waterhouse, Florence Waterhouse, and Ann Bell Waterhouse.
Annie Holding (1880- 1945) married Frank Fell in April 1903, in Lancaster, Lancashire. They had one son; Frank Fell Junior (born 1905)
Thomas Holding (1885- 1891) died at the age of 6 years old.
Richard Holding died on the 27th July 1913, and was buried at the Lancaster cemetery.
#3 Ann Bell (1842- 1919) was the daughter of Joseph Bell and Ann Bell. She was born on the 22nd August, 1842, in Lancaster, Lancashire. She married Richard Holding in July 1861, in Haslingden, Lancashire.

#4 Robert Holden (1805- 1850) was the son of John Holding and Lydia Hargreaves. He was born in Accrington, Lancashire, on February 9th, 1805. Robert Holden married Isabella Bold on the 7th October 1832, at St James', Accrington, Lancashire.

#5 Isabella Bold (1810- 1861) was the daughter of Anne Bold. She born in 1810, in Whalley, Accrington, Lancashire. Her baptismal record, dated 29th July 1810, states she was illegitimate, and no father was recorded. Isabella Bold married Robert Holden on the 7th October 1832, at St James', Accrington, Lancashire.

Susanna Bell (born 1836) was a carder at a silk mill (1851 Census), silk rover (1861 Census), & seamstress (1871 Census)
John Bell (1838- 1873) married Esther Speddley on 9th October 1859, in Preston, Lancashire. They had at least 5 children; Joseph Bell (1860), Ellen Bell (1863), Ann Bell (1864), Elizabeth Bell (1866), & George Bell (1871). He was a house painter (1861 & 1871 Censuses)

William Brown (born c. 1828) was born in Lancashire circa 1827, and was baptised in Lancaster, Lancashire on 27th January 1828. He was an agricultural labourer (1861).
Margaret Brown (born c. 1831) was born in Overton, Lancashire circa 1831.
Isabella Brown (1835- 1911) was born circa 1834, in Overton, Lancashire. She was a laundress (1871) and a housekeeper (1901). She never married, and lived with her brother Henry and his family) She died in March 1911, in Lancashire.
